ISFA is delighted to announce that it has teamed up with Boots2Africa as a charity partner. Boots2Africa is a UK based charity that collects, transports and distributes donated football boots and kits to Africa's children and young adults through relief organisations.
As part of the relationship ISFA will stage boot and kit collections at some of its events to enable schools to donate football boots and kits, as well as donate ISFA kits, to help support children in Africa. Details of ISFA’s earlier donation to Boots2Africa can be found by clicking on this link here.
ISFA Football Development Manager Ian Bent was pleased with the partnership, commenting “It’s fantastic for us to be able to support the excellent work being done by Boots2Africa and to provide the ability for people to send boots and kits that no longer fit or are no longer needed to an area where this can and does make a real difference”.
Iain Finch from Boots2Africa, who is delighted to team up with the Independent Schools Football Association, commented “Boots2Africa are delighted ISFA have chosen us as a charity partner. With their unique position and access into schools across the United Kingdom they are exceptionally well placed to promote the Boots2Africa cause and receive donations of boots, astros, trainers and sports kits to in turn help us support our benefactor schools, sports Academies and community groups in 13 African Countries. Boots2Africa is a simple, sustainable and effective donation and recycling opportunity that is making a massive difference to the lives of children in Africa; helping them keep their feet safe from infection and disease and enabling them to play better football and other sports with donated boots and kit that have a second life once their original users have outgrown them”.
