Our thanks once again to Alleyn’s School who hosted out U13 South East Girls summer tournament.

10 teams competed in 2 groups of 5 with the winners and runners up of each group progressing to the Semi Finals.

Alleyn’s dominated proceedings on Group A winning all 4 of their games. They were followed by Kew House who made it through with 1 win, 2 draws and a loss. South Hampstead, LVS Ascot, and City of London also competed in the group which showcased some competitive football.

Royal Russell were also unbeaten in Group B and were closely followed by Leighton Park, Sydenham, Godolphin & Latymer and Chigwell.

The first Semi Final was played between Royal Russell and Kew House; Royal Russell ran out conniving 5 – 0 winners to progress to the final. The second Semi Final between Alleyn’s and Leighton Park. The match remained 0 – 0 and so was decided on penalty kicks which Leighton Park won to progress.

The Final between Royal Russell and Leighton Park was a great display of girl’s football with some great skill on display from both teams. Royal Russell did in the end run out convincing winners with Leighton Park getting a conciliation goal towards the end of the match. A great day was had by all!
