ENGLAND DEFEAT SCOTLAND TO LIFT A2OM CUPOn a beautiful, sunny, spring afternoon at Aldershot Town FC, England defeated Scotland 3-0 in the final match of the ISFA season to win the a2om Cup.

England started brightly and took an early lead when, from a long throw-in from the left, Eddie Lyne made a storming late run to head home with aplomb. It became 2-0 after 23 minutes when Jordan Metters scored a superb individual goal, dribbling across the penalty area from right to left and rounding the goalkeeper before scoring from a narrow angle.
Scotland came increasingly into the game towards half-time and the second half was an even affair, though both Scotland goalkeepers enjoyed excellent matches, making a number of saves to keep England at bay. England captain Harrison Dunk added a third goal a minute from time when he hammered home a right foot shot.

The ISFA side have perhaps played better in earlier matches this season but all credit to the Scots who defended magnificently. The occasion was the winner, proving a fitting climax to the season as many of the players enjoyed the final matches of their schoolboy football careers.
