ISFA has prioritised the development in the 5-11 age group, the creation of a network of Young Leaders through volunteering, the development of girls’ football and coach education and it is in these areas that Focus Schools work.

Focus Schools work closely with ISFA to disseminate ideas from the centre throughout their region through a series of coaching courses, festivals and invitational afternoons which aid in spreading best practice. All Focus Schools are key supporters of the RESPECT and Fair Play initiatives within the independent sector.

There are currently 9 Focus Schools:

Bolton School – Manchester and Northwest region
Chigwell School – London and Southeast region
Clifton College, Bristol - Southwest region
John Lyon School – London and South central region
King’s School, Chester – Northwest region
King’s School, Ely – East region
Repton School – East Midlands region
Shrewsbury School – West Midlands region
St Bede’s School, Sussex – South and Southeast region
